We’ll talk about the ongoing UMWA strike at Warrior Met in Alabama and how you can show your solidarity, his connection to the Mine Wars through his ancestors Bill Blizzard and Sarah “Ma” Blizzard, the Battle of Blair Mountain Centennial later this fall, a special building dedication ceremony being held in his honor in Matewan on June 12, plus more! Mine Workers Arrested Blocking Scabs From Entering Mine

Striking coal miners were arrested for shutting down the Warrior Met Coal mine this week. A group of 300 miners and United Mine Workers of America President Cecil Roberts blocked the mine to stop scabs from getting in and out. Kim Kelly was there to cover it.
