The Union is YOU and your co-workers

The United Mine Workers of America is a democratic organization at every level.

The local union officers and committees, who are the workers’ representatives at your worksite, are elected. District Representatives, Vice Presidents, and International officers are also elected by the rank and file.

The UMWA is made up of tens of thousands of workers just like you, standing together and making a difference!
