On June 14, 2016, thousands of retired coal miners rallied in Lexington, KY to call on Congress to protect their benefits. This was the first of many events throughout the coal fields that brought greater attention to our struggle and put pressure on members of Congress to preserve the health care our nation's miners deserved. This rally, along with many other events, helped us win health care for 22,600 retired union miners, spouses and widows.
